Here it comes, Android R is coming towards us
I couldn't resist and just bought the fragrant Oneplus 8T, and I also traded in my worn-out Oneplus 6 for it. Let's talk about Android 11 and the experience with this appealing Oneplus 8T.
This time, the 1+ 8T I received came with the H2OS system, which is based on Android 11. However, because I wanted to experience more native features and software, I looked for the OTA package for 1+ 8T on the OnePlus official website, but couldn't find it. Finally, I found the package on the [XDA forum], and also unlocked and rooted the phone in one go.
There was a little incident where the phone couldn't boot after installing Riru - Enhanced mode for Storage Isolation (Storage Redirect). It may be a compatibility issue. After trying several methods provided by enthusiastic group members, the problem still couldn't be solved. Since there wasn't much data on the phone, I decided to reset it.
After dealing with a bunch of account logins, I can finally enter the system and take a look.
Emmmmm, it's full of OneUI style, and I have to admit it looks pretty good.
The pre-installed software that comes with the system includes OnePlus Community, OnePlus Switch, Amazon, Netflix, etc. Most of the pre-installed software, except for Netflix, can be uninstalled.

Finally, I have a high refresh rate screen, and I have to say that the difference is significant. The animation effects are much smoother, but the battery consumption seems to have increased. The 65W charging power is also impressive, although the charging head is a bit large. Here's a picture for you to see:
