2020 Annual Report

At the beginning of 2020, we didn't know how difficult the following year would be. Fortunately, before the Spring Festival, I had already learned about the epidemic in some places and prepared some masks, which reduced the pressure on mask usage during the peak period of the epidemic.

The Bilibili New Year's Eve party seemed to happen just yesterday, and now it's Christmas in 2020. It's time to write the annual summary. I always feel like I haven't done anything this year and it's already the end of the year (

What did I write on the blog#

During the winter vacation, I went home and reorganized the network at home, so I wrote this article Configuring IPTV-NET VLAN Single-Line Multiplexing

I wrote about my experience using Archlinux in Archlinux System Experience Report, which was actually just a filler article evangelism

Ordinary tinkering:

I updated the Hexo theme and added the feature of progressive image loading to the blog: Blog Theme Update && Some Random Thoughts

I added login push notification functionality to the VPS I manage to improve (limited) security: VPS Login Push

Then my previous Oneplus6 was successfully retired and I bought a Oneplus8T: Oneplus 8T Arrived, but not long after, I bought a Google Pixel 1, and I haven't had time to write about it yet.

As usual, I participated in the USTC Hackergame held every year and wrote a writeup for the first time: Hackergame 2020 writeups

Oh, and I also made a weather clock widget that can be placed on the desktop: Making a Desktop Weather Clock with NodeMCU. This widget also has air quality detection, which is pretty good to have on the desk.

What code did I write#

GITHUB#

As usual, here's the green dot chart

What did I write this year#

RssReader: I couldn't find a simple and easy-to-use cross-platform RSS reader, so I made one myself. I also practiced Vue and after adding PWA, the experience on mobile is not much different from using an app.

Weather-Card: A code project combined with hardware, mainly a weather widget. The weather data is obtained from the interface of HeWeather. NodeMCU is really useful.

Oh-My-Profiles: A script written in Python to centrally store configuration files. It automatically puts the specified files in the same folder and creates symbolic links to their original locations, while also providing encryption and compression.

Canteen-Go: A private project, the backend of an Android final project, written in Go+echo+gorm.

schoolDaily: A private project mainly for my school life, including electricity monitoring and credit calculation. The frontend is just a casual write-up, and the backend is written in Python.

What am I still maintaining?#

johnpoint.github.io: Of course, I'm still maintaining the essence of the blog. Recently, I changed the automatic build from Travis to Github Action.

ControlCenter->Server/Client/Web: I'm also maintaining this. I plan to add automatic certificate issuance functionality later.

hexo-theme-XvA: I still make changes to CSS and the like, but major changes may have to wait until the holidays when I have more free time.

How was the blog this year#

It's still the same...

  • I updated 16 articles this year (including this one)
  • I added 0 new friends to the blogroll
  • 0 comments (sigh, no one ever comments)

Anything else I want to say#

Unknowingly, I wrote quite a bit. It seems that this year has been quite fulfilling. Since October, I have also started to keep track of my expenses. Mainly, I want to know where my usual expenses go and I found out that VPS accounts for a large part of my expenses. 2020 is also coming to an end. I hope my technical skills will improve in 2021. I'm also about to start my internship, feeling nervous.jpg
