Tmall Genie Experience

It's been about half a year since I bought the Tmall Voice Sugar Cube, so let me write an article about my experience using it.

Appearance#

image

How should I put it, it's average. Can't say it looks good, but it quietly lies there without disturbing your vision. I quite like this design.

Sound Quality#

Not too bad, can be heard.

Voice Recognition#

It's in a usable state, with wake-up words being "Tmall Voice" and "Hello, Tmall." The false positive rate is not too low.

The response to commands is not very fast. Sometimes, after I finish speaking, there is no response. Sometimes, the command is recognized as a song title.

The voice feedback is a bit annoying. Actually, the library of responses is rich enough, but why can't they standardize the voice? There is a high probability that the response will have a different voice when you wake it up twice.

The wake-up words cannot be changed, which seems a bit silly because the wake-up words are a bit long.

Advertising#

I must say, it doesn't randomly play ads, but after almost every response, it will also say a bunch of annoying things.

Music#

The music library is okay, but the self-proclaimed comments before playing music are a bit silly.
